We need your help to ensure African American history is not erased, ignored, or whitewashed—locally or nationally. The current administration has taken unprecedented steps to unravel our nation’s heritage. Over the past year, the National Park Service has removed critical references to slavery in its Underground Railroad materials, and most recently, ordered the removal of the iconic “Scourged Back” image—a powerful reminder of the brutality of slavery—from one of its park sites.

This is more than erasure—it is an attack on truth.
