Fresh, Healthy Food for Greater Long Beach

The Greater Long Beach area is home to many of the most diverse, vibrant, and community-minded residents in the United States. In spite of this, Long Beach and some neighboring areas suffer from elevated rates of food insecurity, child poverty, and housing instability. These challenges have been exacerbated in the face of recent economic instability.

Long Beach Community Table aims to combat these issues directly by providing its guests with fresh, healthy, and free food, as well as basic goods like hygiene products, hand warmers, and blankets. In addition to its central facility, LBCT distributes good directly to underprivileged residents in nearby parks and homeless encampments through its Park/Bus Program. Over the last 8 years, LBCT has become a pillar of the community, now providing hundreds of thousands of visitors with millions of pounds of food. 

With your assistance, LBCT can continue to provide desperately-needed aid to our Long Beach neighbors, build alternative local food systems, and strengthen networks of internal community resilience and aid. With record gas and grocery prices making an already difficult situation harder, more residents need support than ever.
