Why donate to Meals on Wheels'?  The obvious answer is to help provide good nutrition for those that for one reason or another can't for themselves. But it is so much more...we are building a sense of community for those that may not have one.  When delivering the meals our volunteers provide social interaction with clients that are often isolated.  Additionally, for some they are the extra set of eyes for a family or caregiver's loved one. It is good for our dedicated volunteers as well.  They are given responsibility and a sense of purpose. They too receive good social interactions as they develop connections with other volunteers, clients and even the Meals on Wheels employees.  As an employee I am always glad to be working with people who want to be here as they happily deliver meals, connect with others and help to provide a community for those who need it.
