For many young adults, landing a job isn't the hardest part—having the support to keep it is.

Young adults transitioning from foster care, impacted by the justice system, experiencing housing instability, or overcoming domestic violence often face barriers that extend far beyond employment. They need mentorship, training, reliable transportation, professional guidance, and someone who believes in their potential.

That's where Merge Opportunities comes in.

Merge equips young adults with the skills, resources, and long-term support they need to build meaningful careers—not just find a job. Through career readiness training, technical education, employer partnerships, mentorship, and lifetime career coaching, Merge helps create lasting pathways to economic independence.

I'm proud to support Merge Opportunities because I believe every young adult deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of the obstacles they've faced.

This fall, Merge will launch its Transform a Life program, serving 20 motivated young adults through an intensive 8-week workforce development program that provides:

• Career readiness workshops
• Technical skills training
• Safe transportation assistance
• Professional mentorship
• Lifetime career coaching
• Direct connections to employment opportunities

• $25 — Provides workbooks, safety equipment, or starter toolkits.
• $50 — Covers transportation to interviews or a participant's first day of work.
• $100 — Sponsors a career readiness workshop that builds confidence and workplace skills.
• $250 — Provides one month of individualized career coaching.
• $500 — Funds transportation for five young adults attending work, training, or interviews.
• $1,000 — Purchases laptops so participants can complete training, apply for jobs, and build digital skills.
• $1,900 — Sponsors one young adult's complete career journey through the Transform a Life program.
• $2,500 — Covers tools, equipment, and instructor costs for an apprenticeship training cohort.
• $5,000 — Supports workforce workshops, coaching, and career services for 10 young adults.
