Soroptimist International of Long Beach (SILB) has spent 100 years working together to ensure women and girls have the resources and opportunities they need to achieve their full potential and live their dreams in our community. 

Help us reach our goal to raise $10,000 to support single, working moms who are completing college degrees or technical training.

Our focus is on education because educated women are:

• • less likely to live in poverty,
  • better able to raise stronger, healthier families,
  • better able to access healthcare,
  • less vulnerable to sex traffickers,
  • more likely to leave a domestic violence situation and not return.

This year our goal is to raise $10,000! For as little as $50, you can contribute to an educational grant to keep a working mother in college.

Your gift reaches women and girls facing extreme obstacles such as domestic violence, poverty, housing insecurity, and loss. Education empowers women to enhance their socioeconomic status and contribute to their families and communities.
