Thrive Adaptive is on a mission to ensure every clinician is equipped to care for patients with disabilities. We’re transforming medical education, building a more inclusive healthcare future, and standing up for the right to quality care for all. Here's how:
Each year, we support over 2,000 adaptive athletes through more than a dozen inclusive sports events across Southern California. Our work is powered by a volunteer network of over 500 medical students and clinicians from leading universities, including UCLA, USC, Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Kaiser Permanente, UC Irvine, and more. These students participate in hands-on service, disability-focused education, and community-based clinical experiences through student interest groups and campus partnerships at more than five medical schools—and we're expanding rapidly.
This year, we are launching new online resource hub, featuring over 300 nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting people with disabilities. From housing and employment to adaptive sports and clinical services, this platform helps students, clinicians, and families connect to trusted resources in their community.
Your support helps us scale our impact, train more disability-competent healthcare professionals, and ensure people with disabilities have access to the inclusive care and opportunities they deserve.
Our Mission
To empower present and future clinicians with the knowledge, tools, and firsthand experiences they need to understand the unique needs of people with disabilities and provide the care required to improve outcomes and change lives.
