As the co founder of Thrive Adaptive, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing something extraordinary: hundreds of future clinicians stepping up to learn from, serve alongside, and advocate for people with disabilities. What started as an idea to provide engagement opportunities within the disabled community has grown into a thriving community across Southern California—with over 500 student volunteers, multiple working groups at top medical schools, and the support of dedicated faculty advisors who believe in a more equitable healthcare system.

But I don’t do this work alone.

I'd like to express my personal gratitude to every student who has volunteered their time at an event and special thanks to those who have participated in one of our working groups to support the growth of Thrive Adaptive. Your actions, expertise and commitments are making the world more accessible and equitable.

We are deeply grateful for our incredible community partners—organizations like Playmakers, Angel City Sports, Triumph Foundation, LuskinOIC, and Life Rolls On—who bring joy, sport, mentorship, and real-world impact to our programs. Together, we’ve supported over 2,000 adaptive athletes and are building a future where clinicians are trained not just in medicine, but in accessibility, empathy, and inclusion.
