For nearly 5 decades, the United Cambodian Community (UCC) has stood as a pillar of resilience, born from the strength of Cambodian refugees who rebuilt their lives in Long Beach after surviving war and displacement. What began in 1977 as an effort to help families find stability, has grown into a multi-service organization rooted in cultural pride and community leadership. 

Today, UCC continues that legacy by uplifting the Cambodian community through programs that support health, youth development, economic opportunity, and community connection. Guided by a vision of a thriving community that contributes to a stronger, more inclusive society, UCC works to ensure that future generations flourish. 

Your donation will support the Economic Inclusion team. The Economic Inclusion program provides support to aspiring immigrant-owned businesses, legacy businesses, and underserved entrepreneurs by helping them start, stabilize, and grow sustainably. Services include:

⭐️ Business workshops

⭐️ Access to capital resources

⭐️ Technical assistance 

⭐️ Community based outreach

The Economic Inclusion team has expanded its efforts to develop culturally significant community events such as the Khmer Night Market, Cambodian Restaurant Week, and Rising to the Occasion (Small Business Expo). These initiatives highlight local Cambodian-owned businesses while providing resources to support their growth, offering opportunities for networking, recognition, and connection with the broader business community.

In addition to its ongoing services, the Economic Inclusion team has expanded into community development and cultural placemaking. The team members are as follows:
