The Belmont Heights Community Association
The roots of the BHCA date back to 1910 and has been known throughout the decades as the Belmont Improvement Association (1910s), Belmont Heights Improvement Association (1940s), and Belmont Heights-Belmont Park United Citizens (1970s).
The BHCA, as known today, started taking shape in the early 1990s. Its focus then was compiling accurate crime statistics. The group was reactivated in 2005, led by Dianne Sundstrom, Maureen Neeley and Marc Coleman in reaction to the teardowns and rebuilds considered out of character to the neighborhood.
Today, the BHCA is comprised of homeowners, renters, and business owners who seek to provide a healthy forum for neighborhood solutions and community gatherings. Our volunteer board and members continue the legacy of those early Belmont Heights residents and leaders who sought to improve life in our neighborhood.
