Sowing Seeds of Change

Sowing Seeds of Change has moved into a new farm site with more than 5 acres of land in North Long Beach! Our new site has endless potential, but much of the land has been neglected and requires ongoing maintenance, restoration, and infrastructure improvements. With your support, we can transform this space into a thriving community farm and expand the programs serving the youth who are at the heart of our mission.

By donating to our campaign, you are helping us care for this new farm and create more opportunities for the youth we serve. Your contribution will help us: 

• Maintain and restore our 5+ acre farm. Donations will support the ongoing upkeep of this large site, including clearing and maintaining neglected areas, caring for growing spaces, and improving irrigation. 

• Expand youth programming and vocational opportunities. Our farm provides a hands-on learning environment where youth are able to develop agricultural, culinary, environmental, and professional work skills. Your support helps us expand opportunities for our targeted youth, young adults with disabilities and foster youth, and provide meaningful experiences that build their confidence, knowledge, and job-readiness skills. 

• Develop the farm into a thriving educational space. Our expansion of land brings the opportunity for us to create new learning spaces and growing areas that allow more young people to connect with nature, agriculture, healthy foods, and their community.
