Long Beach Forward, Incd

We create a healthy Long Beach so that race and income don't determine one's future. Long Beach Forward is the glue that brings people, community organizations, and decision makers together by providing the tools and resources they need for positive change. We support community leaders and help advance equitable policies. We do this because we believe everyone in Long Beach should be able to influence decisions that impact their lives, and oftentimes low-income communities of color are left out of decision making. Our work has supported nearly 30 policy wins in Long Beach, a legal complaint that resulted in additional resources for high-needs students in LBUSD, increased representation of Long Beach in regional and national initiatives, and more.
